It’s confirmed: the iPhone 5 will be released in October
Thanks to an enthusiastic vice president at AT&T, we now have actual confirmation that the iPhone 5 will be officially announced by Apple in September and officially released for sale in October.
The AT&T employee let slip to some of his staff that the new version of Apple’s uber-popular iPhone would be available for public retail in early October, after the traditional pre-order period opens up when Apple boss Steve Jobs presents the device to the world next month.
The demand for shiny new Apple products continues to increase with every new product that comes off their technological conveyor belt. And the iPhone 5 is one of the most anticipated inventions to ever come out of Apple HQ in Cupertino. So it’s no surprise that the AT&T VP told his managers to expect things “to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days”.
Sources have already confirmed that Apple will be building over 25 million iPhone 5 units this year, with approximately 10 million expected to sell in October alone.
Maybe this guy, who’s camping out to be first in line for the iPhone 5, isn’t so crazy after all.
